Ghana forward Jordan Ayew returned from suspension to play full throttle for Aston Villa as the Villans kowtowed to a 3-1 home loss against Everton at the Villa Park in the Premier League on Tuesday.
The 24-year-old was restored to the Villa line-up after serving a two-game ban for a silly sending off last month.
Villa were hoping to a positive results against Everton who had gone into the game with an impressive record against massive superiority over the Birmingham-based side.
Ramiro Funes Mori gave Everton the lead by meeting Kevin Mirallas' corner before Aaron Lennon's close-range finish doubled their lead.
Romelu Lukaku made it 3-0 before Rudy Gestede headed a consolation for Villa.
