Ghanaian defender Joseph Attamah Larweh is still eyeing a place in the Black Stars team ahead of the 2017 Africa Cup of Nations.
The Turkey-based defender has been knocking on the doors of the Black Stars with his tremendous performance for Super Lig side ?stanbul Ba?ak?ehir FK.
Attamah, former Ghana U20 center-back has been overlooked since his outstanding performance for the Black Satellites team at the 2013 FIFA U20 World Cup in Turkey.
With a month to the start of the Cup of Nations, the former Tema Youth defending is hoping to break into Coach Avram Grant’s squad.
“I am still eyeing a call-up to the Nations team. I know we have a few weeks to the Cup of Nations in Gabon and I hope I make the team,” he told Ghanasportsonline.com in an interview.
“I haven’t been invited to the National team before but I will work hard to make the squad to Gabon.
“Everything is possible, I know most Ghanaians have seen me play before. All I need to do now is to work very hard and make the team.”
Coach Avram Grant is expected to name a provisional squad for the tournament in the coming weeks.
