Black Stars goalkeeper Joseph Wollacott made his Crawley Town debut as they beat Blackpool 2-1 in their English League One opener on Saturday, August 10, 2024.
The 27-year-old signed for Crawley after just one year with Hibernian in the Scottish Premiership was marred by injuries.
Wollacott's performance proved pivotal as he made three crucial saves and executed three successful runs, solidifying his role in the team's victory at Broadfield Stadium.
The match began with Crawley Town taking the lead in the 16th minute. Rushian Hepburn-Murphy scored with a well-placed right-footed shot from the centre of the box, thanks to a precise through ball from Jeremy Kelly.
The home side maintained their momentum, doubling their advantage shortly after. Junior Quitirna found the net with a powerful strike from the left side of the box, assisted by Ronan Darcy, sending Crawley into halftime with a comfortable 2-0 lead.
Blackpool fought back in the second half, with Ashley Fletcher scoring in the 74th minute to reduce the deficit.
