Joseph Yamin tips George Afriyie to succeed Kwesi Nyantakyi
Former Deputy Youth and Sports Minister, Joseph Yamin believes George Afriyie has all the necessary requirements to replace Kwesi Nyantakyi as the president of the Ghana Football Association.
The former Great Olympics Chief Executive Officer declared his intentions to contest for the Ghana FA post last week during the celebration of his 50th birthday.
Nyantakyi who doubles as the CAF 1st vice has declared his intentions not to seek re-election in the 2019 GFA presidency and the aspiring Ashanti regional chairman of NDC described Afriyie as a credible candidate who possesses the qualities needed to run Ghana Football.
“George Afriyie is a credible candidate as he possesses the qualities needed to run Ghana football," he told Asempa FM.
“I have some respect for George Afriyie, not only him, Kwesi Nyantakyi, as well having worked with both.
"So I think he is more than qualified to replace Kwasi [if he steps down]. But I wouldn’t stick my neck out for George until others announce their intentions too,” he added.
