Defender Joshua Tijani is confident AshantiGold will lift this year’s GHALCA Top 4 tournament after eliminating league champions Asante Kotoko.
The left back-cum-centre back scored the only goal in the 1-0 win over the Porcupine Warriors at the Len Clay on Wednesday which sealed a 2-0 aggregate win.
AshantiGold won the first leg by the same score line at the Baba Yara Stadium thanks to a Francis Adjei strike.
Tijani believes his side have established a benchmark for the season with their performance against rivals champions.
“We did well as a team I know people will say that it was just a pre-season game but trust me it was not easy,” Tijani told MTNFootball.com
“We played well in both legs and we are confident of lifting the top 4 trophy and other trophies this season.”
AshantiGold will face either Hearts of Oak or Heart of Lions in Sunday’s final.
