An Accra District Court judge has advised Ghanaian boxer popularly known as Bukom Banku to avoid getting involved in street fights after discharging the veteran fighter for threatening to assault a local hairdresser.
Mr. Braimah Isaac Kamoko, popularly known as Bukom Banku, has had a recent run in with the long arm of the law regarding an instance where the famous boxer was accused of threatening to assault a local hairdresser.
Bukom Banku is also alleged to have verbally assaulted the hairdresser prior to threatening to beat her up because she [hairdresser] was talking to his daughter
Judge Arit Nsemoh, presiding magistrate of Accra District Court 7, upon discharging Bukom Banku rather advised the veteran boxer to endeavor to become a good role model for young people.
"As a boxer, you should be a role model to the youth," Ms Nsemoh told Bukom prior to his discharge.
Bukom Bankum - who hails from the part of Accra which he took his nickname from - was discharged because his case was resolved via Alternative Dispute Resolution.
