Justice delayed is justice denied - RTU

Tamale, Oct., 8, GNA - Mr Jones Alhassan Abu, Real Tamale United (RTU) representative in Accra on Wednesday said the club was determined to fight it out with the GFA disciplinary committee to the roots in its protest against Goldfields for fielding unqualified player, Valentine Atem, to ensure that they grabbed the three points.

"The way GFA is handling the issues indicates that they have no case but to accept things as they are and give us the three points to ensure sanity and fair deal in the Premier League" Mr Abu told the GNA sports in an interview in Tamale.

Mr Abu said the way GFA is delaying in dispensing justice in the protest is an indication that they are bent on denying RTU justice "but posterity is watching them and will also give its judgment." He said if the GFA had a good case why RTU's protest was dismissed they(GFA) would not have waited for more than a month without talking to club.

He said the GFA was setting a bad precedence for failing to give equal treatment to all clubs in the Premier league saying, this would not augur well for Ghana football".

"I don't want to believe that the GFA is afraid of some "powers" within Goldfields," he said and called for equal treatment of all clubs regardless of their geographical and ethnic background.

He said even though without the three points RTU would not be relegated or would it jump to occupy the top position of the league table, "Caesar should be given what is due him", adding "until the issue is solved amicably the management of RTU will continue to fight to the roots".
