Juvenile Club Owners Association of Ghana petitions Ministry of Youth and Sports

Jucoag Government of Ghana has started the process of dissolving the Ghana Football Association

The Executive members of the Juvenile Club Owners Association of Ghana (JUCOAG) have penned down a petition to the Ministry of Youth and Sports and CAF/FIFA Liaison team not to neglect the association as steps to reform the game of Football.

June 6, aired video from the camp of Anas coalition on the course of uprooting rot in Ghana Football, halted football-related activities in the country. As to that, the government of Ghana started the process of dissolving the Ghana Football Association, since the exercise captured some officials of the FA.

However, the exercise by Ace Investigative Journalist Anas Aremeyaw Anas has seen the then GFA President Kwasi Nyantakyi resign. Slapped with 90 days suspension by Football world governing body FIFA. Some giant officials also involved in the game crippled.

The government’s commitment to dissolving the FA led to the formation of Liaison team to oversee all Football-related activities in the country.

JUCOAG are of the belief that, over the past years have developed and nurtured young talented players to make them great to achieve laurels for the country and should not be overlooked in the reforms.

“The association over the past years have unearthed, developed and nurtured young talented players to make them great to achieve laurels for our country” we do that by going through the grassroots areas of the country to bring out these talents”.

Unearthing and training talent’s through Under 10,13,15 and 17 before they are ready for divisional football are all their write-ups. Teaching players the basis of football and how to be disciplined in the game of football not excluded in their activities of upbringing a talent.

“Virtually we are the backbone of football in the country”.

They are of the view that, the Liaison team have not met the executive members of JUCOAG since they never had a representation at the GFA Executive Committee level to oversee their interest.

“We also plead normalization/Liaison committee to meet with executives of JUCOAG for as to also share our views and inputs that will help the restructure of the current dilapidated state of football in the country”.
