Kevin Prince Boateng’s contract at Schalke 04 is coming to an end in 2016, but the 28-year old star is unlikely quit the German club this Summer.
The Ghana international has been linked with a move to the Major League Soccer (MLS) in recent times, but according to reports in German, Boateng has now received an offer from the Chinese Super League.
Boateng’s time at Schalke has been disappointing this season. He arrived a year and a half ago after leaving AC Milan, but has struggled to have a major influence for Roberto Di Matteo's side.
Injuries have played their part—as has been the case for much of the Black Star’s recent career—and the 28-year-old has managed 16 appearances in Bundesliga this season, making two assists and failing to score a single goal.
Even when he has been fit, his performances have often fallen way below the standards Boateng has managed throughout his career.
