KNUST Alumni Fun Games at Akuse

Accra, Aug. 15, GNA--The Second Annual Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST) Alumni Fun Games will be held at the Volta River Authority Club House at Akuse in the Eastern Region on Saturday, August 23.

A spokesman for the Tema, Akuse and Akosombo Chapters of KNUST Alumni Association, who announced this in Accra on Monday, said about 200 alumni and their families are expected to participate in the one-day games.

He named some of the games as Soccer, Scrabble, Tennis, Ludo, Oware, Badminton, Tug-of-Peace and Chess.

The spokesman said the games which is aimed at strengthening the already cordial relationship among members, is also to raise funds for the association to execute its projects.

He said participation fee for individuals will be 50,000 cedis, families will pay 90,000 cedis while students of KNUST will pay 25,000cedis.

Professor Kwesi Andam, Vice Chancellor of the university, is the Special Guest of Honour.
