German-born Ghanaian international Kevin-Prince Boateng has named Roberto De Zerbi as the best manager he has worked with throughout his career.
The exciting forward started his professional career with German Bundesliga side Hertha Berlin in 2015 and has since gotten the opportunity to play for some of Europe’s top clubs.
Reflecting on a career that has spanned over a decade, KP Boateng says he will choose De Zerbi as the best manager he has worked with.
"One of the best coaches I've ever had, however, was Roberto De Zerbi in Sassuolo. He has incredible visions”, the Fiorentina forward told Sport 1 in an interview.
He added, “And he gave me the freedom I needed. He just said: 'Please don't get a red card. If your temper comes up, pluck it 'put it down and just play soccer.' Nothing more”.
KP Boateng, 33, spent a year at Italian Serie A side Sassuolo where he worked with Roberto De Zerbi. The two had a good relationship before eventually going their separate ways.
