Ghana midfielder Kevin-Prince Boateng came off the bench to score the fourth goal for AC Milan as they trounced Serie D side Pergolettese 5-1 in a warm-up game on Saturday.
The 26-year-old had come off the bench as a group of second half substitutes introduced by manager Massimiliano Allegri and he made his mark by scoring the fourth goal for the Rossoneris.
Boateng was played into space by French midfielder Philip Mexes and he finished off with a neat half-volley from the edge of the area in the 61st minute. While Boateng was in impressive form, compatriot Sulley Muntari was not part of the Milan team.
However, youngster Kingsley Boateng replaced Dutch midfielder Urby Emmanuelson midway through the second half.
Youngster Edmund Etse Hottor who spent last season with Serie B side Virtus Lanciano was not picked for the pre-season squad and is likely to be loaned out again as he failed to claim playing time last season.
