Medeama striker Kabiru Moro has apologized for his tackle on Emmanuel Hayford which will leave the Hearts of Oak striker injured for some time to come.
Hayford is reported to have suffered a dislocated jaw after emerging worse off in an aerial challenge with Moro during Hearts’ 2-1 loss to Medeama on Wednesday.
The Hearts striker has since taken a scan on the injury and will know the results later in the day on Friday.
Many fear the latest injury to Hayford will keep him out for a considerable amount of time while compiling Hearts’ injury woes.
Some irate Phobians fans have threatened to deal with Kabiru Moro in the spiritual realm for injuring their striker.
But the remorseful Medeama hit man has issued a grovelling apology to Hayford and says he will personally place a call to wish him a speedy recovery.
“I want to say sorry to the player [Emmanuel Hayford] for the tackle on him. It was nothing malicious but it’s just football,” he told Metro FM.
“I didn’t go in to deliberately hurt the player as people are making it look like. “I was determined to help my side win the game and I am sure the Hearts fans will acknowledge my efforts if I was playing for them.
“I wish the player a speedy recovery and that I am very sorry that things turned out this way. It was purely an accident.
“I will look for the boy’s number and call him to personally say sorry to him.”
