After guiding Dreams FC to their first ever major silverware on the local scene by winning the GHALCA G8 Tournament, Coach Abdul Karim Zito has been named the head coach of Ghana's U-17 male national team, the Black Starlets.
The celebrated coach whose experience cannot be underestimated will be assisted by former Hearts of Oak trainer Yaw Preko.
Zito who has coached both Kotoko and Hearts before is expected to employ his experience and knowledge to help unearth talent and nurture them for the future.
He takes over from Paa Kwesi Fabin who guided the side to win Silver at the 2017 U-17 AFCON and also got to the quarterfinals of the FIFA U-17 World Cup.
Until Zito's appointment, he was the head coach of Ghana's U-23 side, The Black Meteors.
As a former Feyenoord Academy coach, many expect Zito to get his arsenals together towards building an unforgettable side for Ghana's senior national team.
