Head coach of Kayserispor Robert Prosinecki says suspended Ghana midfielder Bernard Mensah is not completely out of his team.

Mensah has been excluded from the Blood and Gold lads squad for their Saturday’s Supaliga encounter against Alanyaspor due to suspension.

Kayserispor claimed the 25-year-old has shown gross indiscipline after registering his desire to depart the club over the lack of financial entitlement.

The Ghana international is reported to been keen on leaving the club, with clubs such as Besiktas, Fenerbahce and Galatasaray have shown interest in signing him.

The latter has even proposed to exchange two players plus €2 million to sign the midfielder.

Speaking ahead of their game against Alanyaspor, coach Prosinecki indicated that the punishment meted out to the Ghanaians is temporary.

“We have not completely overlooked Mensah,” Prosinecki said.

“When I came to Antalya camp, I saw a disciplinary problem in general. We were already a team at the end of the league. The teacher goes to the club, the players go, the president goes, everyone changes, but the club is unacceptable. The club will always be here. That's why nobody's in front of the club. It is not superior to the club. The club's rules always apply. In this respect, we had a few problems with Mensah. But that doesn't mean he's totally out of the team. If things improve, of course we can use Mensah, he can come back.”

“We're not completely out of it. There are some rules that we want here to continue, some things to settle, and the team to win matches again,” the former Croatia ace concluded.

Mensah contributed 4 assists in 13 league games for the club during the first stanza of the season.
