Ghana midfielder Kevin-Prince Boateng was on target as Sassuolo drew 2-2 with Bologna in Serie A on Sunday.
The Neroverdi were below their best against Bologna as they went behind by the second minute after Rodrigo Palacio shot the visitors ahead, before Marlon could draw level 15 minutes later.
However, Ibrahima Mbaye restored the visitors' lead on 56th minute after he connected a pass from Giancarlo Gonzalez before Boateng, who was brought on by the 63rd minute for Federico Di Francesco, scored the equaliser from the spot with five minutes remaining.
The 31-year-old missed last weekend's action through injury and was made to start from the bench on Sunday by Sassuolo coach Roberto De Zerbi.
Boateng has now made eight appearances for the Serie A side, including seven starts, and scoring four goals in the process.
Sassuolo have moved to seventh position with 15 points and will travel to face relegation-threatened Chievo Verona next weekend.
