Accra Hearts of Oak coach Kenichi Yatsuhashi has expressed his satisfaction at his team’s performance despite their 2-0 loss to Ahly Tripoli in their final preseason friendly in Libya on Friday.
The Rainbow Club suffered another defeat at the 80,000 capacity Tripoli international Stadium.
Goals from Abdul Qadir and Amadou saw Ahly Tripoli defeat the Ghanaian giants 5-0 on aggregate having thumped the Rainbow Club 3-0 on Tuesday.
Yatsuhashi who has secured just one win in four preseason friendlies is pleased with his side’s performance.
“We played really well today, but we lost by 2-0.,” he posted on is facebook page.
“I am proud of our players for their efforts, improvements, and willingness to win.
“I am moved by people in Libya who are living their ordinary lives. They are like anyone in the world, just like you and me.
“I am happy to be part of bringing positives and enjoyment, but I received more energy from them than I gave them.
“Football unites the world. Keep the ball Rollin.”
The team (Hearts of Oak ) is expected to return on Saturday to continue preparation for the upcoming GHALCA G6 tournament which kick starts on January 7.
