Soccer is a high-intensity sport that places significant demands physically and technically on athletes.

Successful players must have a high aerobic capacity as well as the ability to perform repeated high-intensity movements.

With this in mind, Hearts of Oak's new coach Kenichi Yatsuhashi has introduced a new training equipment - Polar Heart Rate Monitor Team System - to monitor heart rate during game play and practice sessions.

This new technology will also help the Japanese tactician to view the heart rates of his players in real-time using Polar Team2 System via Bluetooth communication.

It also continuously records data that can be downloaded and further analyzed to better manage recovery among athletes.

The Phobians are preparing to leave on12th December 2015 for Libya to battle Ittihad Tripoli in a two-club international friendly.

Hearts of Oak will positively use the friendly game as a dress rehearsal ahead of the Ghana Premier League which has been tentatively scheduled for 10th January 2015.
