Liberty Professionals star man, Kennedy Ashia has confirmed he will not be playing for the Dansoman based club come next season.

The 21 year old attacking midfielder has been with Liberty Professional for the past three seasons after joining them from second-tier side Dunkwa United and he became an instant hit at the Dansoman based club.

The quality of Kennedy Ashia earned him a selection into the 2013 Ghana U-20 team that won bronze in the FIFA U-20 World Cup in Turkey which landed him a 6 month deal at Norwegian side SK Brann.

In the just ended Ghanaian premier league, the former Dunkwa United midfielder was Liberty Professionals most influential player helping the scientific soccer lads finish the season at the 5th position.

However, Kennedy Ashia after the season has been linked with several clubs which include, Asante Kotoko, Hearts of Oak and yet be known Lebanese club.

Ashia has now confirmed he will not be playing for Liberty Professional come next season as he want to seek a new challenge elsewhere.

“I will not be staying at Liberty for next season. As a player, you have to move for a new challenge and try to enjoy what the sport comes with whilst you are in the limelight because there is no pension scheme for footballers in this country.” he said.
