Kenpong mourns JB Danquah

Former Asante Kotoko Board Member Kennedy Agyapong (Kenpong) has expressed gross sympathy to the wife and family of murdered Abuakwa North MP Joseph Boakye Danquah.

The deceased was a close friend to the businessman and describing his sudden death which occurred last Monday, Kenpong said “this is indeed a shocker, he queried me jokingly why I didn’t inform him of my mother’s death the day before his death.

“It’s a double agony for me because we were very close. It’s my fervent prayer that God grants his family to stand throughout these challenging times.

“I met JB in 1998 when I was one of the financial supporters of Kotoko, he joined me and we both supported financially. I used to drive him to Kumasi when Kotoko was playing.

“He is not a bad fellow, so I just can’t imagine how someone should kill him. He was at a point in time appointed a Board chairman of my Travel and Tours. His office is few metres away from my Airport Residential Area house, so we were ike neighbours.

“I have lost a real and perfect friend, may his soul rest in perfect peace.”
