Accra, June 16, GNA - Premiership debutants, Kessben FC dreams of a top six finish with only five games to end the 2008 soccer season. Coach Hans van der Plyum saw his side crushed 0-2 to a struggling Accra Hearts of Oak side on Sunday and yet insists finishing among the top six remains their dream.
He told GNA Sports the team's modest vision has been arrived at following their inability to make a claim for a top four place. Kessben is eighth on the 16-team table of the Onetouch Premier League and Van der Plyum insists improving beyond their current standing is a matter of course.
"Our dream of a first four finish is over but you can be sure belonging to the initial six will be a reality." Kessben has won seven times at home all season and the trainer believes maximizing their haul in their three remaining home matches is within reach.
They have twice won away and Van der Plyum told GNA Sports fighting for points in their two remaining away games is among the driving force behind their dream of a top six finish. With 33 points, only a point separates them from the sixth and seventh placed Wa All Stars and King Faisal.
The coach said his charges would work hard and play to their potential in the coming games with a simple intent.
