Accra, March 14, GNA - Accra Great Olympic lost their third game in succession to push themselves down the Premier League ladder after they los= t 0-1 to Kumasi King Faisal in their 22nd Week Glo Premier League duel at the El-Wak Stadium, Accra on Sunday. Olympics who needed a win to lift them from the lower ranks of the table dominate play but lacked the cutting edge to deserve all three points when it mattered most.

It was a lousy start to a game where the defiant Olympics' followers remained expectant, but Faisal who similarly required a favourable result t= o boast their fortunes were also resolute and gave no chance to the Wonder Club. After a balanced first half which the Wonder Club however stayed ahead in terms of creation of chances, they were wasteful upfront and even missed from the spot later in the game to sum up the disjointed nature of their form and play.

Faisal introduced Prince Arko at the restart of the second half and th= e player's capabilities proved telling almost immediately. They twice tore away from the flanks and Ebo Andoh who wrapped up victory for the visitors in 84th minutes on a second chance left Olympics off the hook with a weak left-footer that missed target just wide. Faisal will regroup and soak an Olympics invasion that left the former's goalkeeper Ibrahim Iddrisu injured.

And when the visitors recovered and took off, it was Arko who pick out Andoh with a measured cross for the latter to slice home with his weak left foot in a manner that left Olympics goalkeeper Ben Mensah well exposed. Olympics launched a fight back and mounted an invasion that rewarded them a penalty two minutes on for which trusted scorer Mawuli Toglo stepped out to effect.

With desperation written all over the 93Blue" army, Toglo stepped forward, delivered a powerful one that could only travel as far as the woodwork and deflected to safety to the amazement of the fans. The fight for the equalizer was still fresh on Olympics cards and even though their actions raised the expectations of their partisan followers, i= t could only remain a dream and did not materialise into goals.

Incensed with the pain of defeat staring straight in their eyes, some of Olympics supporters turned rowdy with their victim being a female Faisal supporter whose only crime was cheering her team on.

The fans engulfed the fan, formed a ring around her as they pushed her around and fisted anyone who dared to rescue her in a manner that underscored the fact that the El-Wak Stadium, the home of Olympics, there was no freedom of association and expression and was a luxury that a visiting team could not afford.
