Kings Faisal's Chairman eye top post

Accra, April 15, GNA - Alhaji Abdul Karim Grunsah, Founder and Chairman of King Faisal Football Club has said his aim is to either become the Vice Chairman of the Ghana League Clubs Association (GHALCA) or the Ghana Football Association (GFA).

Alhaji Grunsah who disclosed this to the GNA Sports in an interview in Accra said he had obtained his nomination forms from the secretariat of the GHALCA to contest for the position of the Vice Chairman of the Association.

According to Alhaji Grunsah he would soon complete the forms and forward it to the association in order to start his campaign for the position.

The outspoken Chairman of the Kumasi based club expressed confidence about his chances of winning the elections since he lost narrowly in the last election by only two votes.

"I believe I have prepared adequately to take up the post considering my vast experience in football administration and I'm going do my best to ensure there is further progress of football in the country," Alhaji Grunsah stated.

He said, come April 27, he is optimistic to be crowned as the new vice chairman of the GHALCA and that would also qualify him to become the Vice Chairman of the GFA according to the rules and regulations of the two bodies.

Alhaji Grunsah has over the past years' been a major contributor to the development of Juvenile football in the country as well as being a member of the Black Meteors Management Committee.
