Former Black Stars goalkeeper Richard Kingson has been nominated for two categories at the National Player Awards launch.
The launch, which took place at Lizzie's complex in Accra last night, was to disclose nominees for the first ever National Player Awards.
The Awards are for outstanding players during the 2010/2011 season, both locally and internationally.
Kingson was nominated for the Most Outstanding Player and Most Dedicated Player Awards in the Black Stars, by dint of his active participation in the last two World Cups and the 2008 and 2010 African Nations Cup tournaments.
Marseille midfielder Andre Ayew was also nominated for the Most Outstanding player catergory in the Black Stars.
Deserving players were nominatd in virtually every national team, both male or female, with acknowledgements also going out to members of the 1963 and 1963 African Nations Cup winning squads. The full list of nominees is as follows:
