Unsullied information bumped upon by this reporter has it that Nana Konadu Agyeman Rawlings has threatened to leave JJ Rawlings if he makes any false move to dim her still-born presidential ambition. Afraid that Konadu will carry her threats through, Rawlings has therefore been forced to become a virtual poodle to Konadu’s crazy political misadventure.

Nana Konadu, who has vowed to send the National Democratic Congress (NDC) into opposition to teach the party a bitter lesson, is reported to have told JJ Rawlings in plain words that, “You either support me or I’m out of your life”.

That is why JJ Rawlings is currently dangling between the NDC and the National Democratic Party (NDP) with no clear vision as to where he belongs or what he wants to do is therefore, being blown around like a sandy storm by Konadu.

JJ Rawlings is too afraid of Konadu who has become so powerful that she currently dictates everything that powerless JJ Rawlings does, which is why the man has no guts to say anything against the catastrophic political foolhardy of Konadu.

JJ Rawlings pretends that he is unaware of Konadu’s evil machinations but always finds time to turn around to blame others for trying to destroy the NDC, when in fact for three years and eleven months since the NDC returned to power Nana Konadu has been pulling all the strings to bring the umbrella down.

It has been reported by the Radio XYZ that JJ Rawlings at a meeting with some senior members of the NDC stated that he has decided to participate in the campaign of the NDC after witnessing some changes under the leadership of President John Mahama. But on that same day that the news came out about Rawlings’ intension to campaign for the NDC, funny enough Konadu was on radio bashing the NDC and calling on voters to send the NDC into opposition. Is Rawlings telling the world that he has up till now not heard about what Konadu said on Tuesday?

JJ Rawlings continues to blame others in the NDC when in fact the most divisive person on earth today is close to his hand. The NDC had been fine and still going strong since Rawlings and Konadu decided to join the opposition NPP to help in bringing the party down. God being so good, the NDC has survived all the terrible onslaughts from the Rawlingses and now that the party is doing its final prep towards the 2012 election, enters JJ Rawlings.

Is Rawlings not the same person who has said it over and over again that he will not campaign for the NDC? The NDC moved on a long time ago when it became abundantly clear that all what the Rawlingses care about is to concentrate power at their gates and not allow anybody in the NDC to exhibit their own God given talent for the benefit of the party.

If you take a peek into the draft copy of the NDP constitution, Article 4 which talks about the Founders states categorically that “Any member who, by word of mouth, conduct, act or omission does anything likely to bring the honour and integrity of the Founding Fathers (JJ Rawlings and Nana Konadu Agyeman Rawlings) into disrepute shall be liable to disciplinary proceedings.

It further goes on to state at Article 6 – Character and Ethics of the Party, that “All party activities and programs shall be carried out consistent with the time tested principles of Probity, Accountability and Social Justice as espoused by Former President JJ Rawlings and Nana Konadu Agyeman Rawlings. Are we seeing a personality cult here?

So with all these facts where does Rawlings stand today? Can one man join two parties and even plead with a third to be lenient with the NDC supporters when they win power? Konadu’s threats have seriously gagged Rawlings and he has become shifting sand or at best a rolling stone which is just rolling about and will eventually end up in the political abyss after December 7.

I will rather stay home and seriously advice Konadu if I were Rawlings because his political utterances or dancing rhetoric exposes him to mockery. The NDC is fine, and will be better after December 7, so Rawlings should stay where he is now. God will need him to purge himself from Evil Konadu.
