Ghana's U-20 footballers have arrived in Uganda ahead of their 2013 Africa Youth Championship qualifier.

Maxwell Konadu's 20-man Black Satellites, who left Accra on Thursday, will play their hosts on Saturday in Nakivubo in the first leg of the qualifying.

The squad have been impressive in the build up to the game against the Hippos having scored 10 goals in three trial games while conceding one.

Ghana, winners of both the Africa Youth Championship and World Cup titles in 2009 are determined to reach next year's finals in Algeria.

“I must just say that we are ready for the game. We have been training hard and so we are prepared for the task ahead,” Konadu said this week in Accra.

“We have to play our normal game but have to be cautious at the back as well.”

The winner of the two-leg tie advances to meet either Morocco or the Gambia in the second round set for September and October.
