Accra, Feb. 21, GNA - One of Ghana's leading professional male golfer, Emos Korbrah has challenged all golfers in the professional category to be prepared to face him or watch him win all the golf tournaments slated for this year.

The winner of the just ended Guinness Open golf tournament held in the second week of February this year in Kumasi said he is using the local tournaments to access himself for his international assignments, especially the British Open in June.

"I have been eying the British Open for the past ten years. I train everyday except Sundays and the secret behind my success has been the support I receive from my sponsor" said the winner of the 2006 Ecobank Open gold trophy.

Korbrah who has won the Ghana Open since 1999 and the Nigerian Open in 1992 among others said that with the necessary support from the private sector, government and other stakeholders, Ghana can very soon boast of world champions.

"There are too many talents in golf but it is unfortunate that many of these great young one's are struggling to survive in the sport and a visit to the golf clubs in Accra, Tema, Kumasi or Tafo can attest to the fate of the future of young golfers", he added 21 Feb 06
