Kumasi Asante Kotoko was drawn in group C of the CAF Confederations Cup along with ZESCO United, Al Hilal Omdurman and Nkana FC in a battle for two slots in the quarterfinals, and Dr. Kwame Kyei has described the draw as the 'best' for his side.
Asante Kotoko proudly deepened their worth in the continental competition with an impressive 5-3 aggregate triumph over Coton Sport De Garoua of Cameroon and have now set their eyes on the trophy that has eluded them in so many years.
Speaking to Kumasi based FOX FM, the Executive Chairman of the Porcupine Warriors expressed his confidence in Kotoko, describing the group handed the Porcupines as a good one and even the best one can think of.
"Even this one is good, as for this I feel it's God who has arranged for us, what we needed is what God has given us, it is very good", Dr. Kyei told FOX FM as he shared his view on the group Kotoko find themselves in.
The visionary Chairman indicated that no one goes to war with a losing mentality, and assures of being competitive against every opponent that may come the Porcupines' way.
"Whatever be the case we are in the group stage so we will fear no one, because if you go to war with a fear of being defeated then you shall surely be defeated, so any team given us I know there is none we can't withstand so it's a very good draw", he concluded.
The 2004 Confederations Cup finalists will open the group stage campaign away to Sudanese giants Al Hilal on Sunday February 3 before hosting Zambia's ZESCO United on February 13 in Kumasi.
