Accra Hearts of Oak and Kumasi Asante Kotoko football clubs should be paying their players $1000 minimum, Kwabena Yeboah, ace sports journalist and president of the Sports Writers Association of Ghana (SWAG), has proposed.
He said managers of the two biggest clubs in Ghana should not be making noise when results do not go their way because they have failed to properly remunerate their players.
Mr Yeboah said if Hearts and Kotoko are able to manage their affairs very well, they will be able to pay their players a minimum of $1000.
“If Hearts and Kotoko handle their things very well, there is no way they cannot be able to pay the players $1000”, he told Accra-based Asempa FM.
