Kumasi Asante Kotoko might have missed out on the signatures of the Hasaacas duo of Anthony Annan and Saliu Muntari, but the management of the club have moved to include defenders William Thompson and Daniel Acquah as part of their African squad.
The two players who are part of the Kotoko squad were omitted from their continental campaign last season because the club failed to register them.
In rather surprising circumstances, the club failed to register defender Daniel Acquah for last season?s continental campaign.
The defender, a member of the first sixteen players at the time was left out of the Kotoko squad with the excuse that he was unavailable to sign the African card.
William Thompson on the other hand for no apparent reason left the club for over a season and returned midway into the campaign last year.
Meanwhile, Kumasi Asante Kotoko are reportedly pleading with the Confederation of African Football-CAF to give them a leeway to enable them duly register goalkeeper Habib Mohammed from RTU, Brazilian striker, Gleisson De Souza Ferreira and Ali Ouadragou, the Burkina Faso striker formerly of Etoile Filante.
The Porcupine Warriors are yet to complete the transfers of the players from their various clubs.
