IS KOTOKO BOARD HELPFUL?
Life Patron of Kumasi Asante Kotoko, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II instituted a thirteen Member Board two years ago to steer the affairs of the great club for three years.
Nana in his own wisdom chose people who in one way or the other will help in various ways to lift high the image of Asante Kotoko and the confidence he entrusted in them but the picture is different from afar.
Authentic investigations has revealed that, the 13-member board constituted by the Life Patron has been redundant and has shown lackaidiscal attitude in running and recruitment of new players in to the club.
Contrary to earlier speculations that the board had voted an amount of 3 billion cedis in to the recruitment of new players, painstaking investigations by yours truly has revealed that only 100 million cedis has been paid by a member of the board with the rest (2.9 billion cedis) been a loan sourced from a local bank which had been at the receiving end of bashes from some of the board members .
The investigations has also revealed that,this disclosure has angered the Life Patron of the club who had expected these honourable men and woman to contribute in any small quota in to the financing of the club.
This revelation has also angered most of the supporters of the club and are calling for the sack of the board members. They are also urging the Life Patron and the soon to be elected C.E.O of the club to try as much as possible to see to the implementation of the Otumfuo Special Initiative(O.S.I).
