Kotoko Supporters Union hold meeting

Accra, Aug. 22, GNA - The Teshie-Nungua Supporters Union of Kumasi Asante Kotoko ( Circle 142) has called on the management of the club not to accept any peace match against Accra Hearts of Oak.

Mr Michael Cofie, Chairman of the Union who announced this at its meeting in Accra on Saturday said there was already peace existing between the two clubs and that playing a peaceful match will not serve any purpose.

He said there should rather be a peace match between the supporters of the two clubs to educate them on the rules and regulations governing Ghana football to unite them.

Mr Cofie called on supporters of the club to give the management the needed support so that they can deliver the needed goals for the club.

Mr Jerry Kwadwo Asare, Accra Representative of Asante Kotoko and Patron of the Union urged the supporters of various football clubs in the country to unite and fight for a common goal of developing football in the country.

Mr John Larbi, Organiser of the Union called on the management of the club to institute the 'Best Circle's Member' award so that more supporters would be encouraged to join the union.
