Asante Kotoko have set up a five-member recruitment committee to be headed by coach David Duncan, GHANAsoccernet.com can confirm.
The decision to set up the recruitment committee was taken at a meeting of the club’s board of directors on Friday.
The board headed by Paul Adu Gyamfi went ahead to set up the committee despite reports of their imminent dissolution.
Ex Ghana defender Samuel Osei Kuffour has been waiting in the wings for the official announcement of his appointment as the club’s new President.
But in the absence of this official announcement from the club’s owner Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, the existing board is still forging ahead with the discharge of its duties.
The recruitment committee to be headed by coach David Duncan will preside over player transfers this off-season.
General Manager Opoku Nti and Operations Manager George Kennedy were named as members of the committee.
Two other board members;Nana Yaw Owusu and Kwaku Amponsah (chairman K5) are also to be part of the committee.
