The head coach of Asante Kotoko, Prosper Narteh Ogum, has said that his team must focus on winning games without the injured players.
The Porcupine Warriors are currently enjoying a good start to the 2024/25 Ghana Premier League season, although some top players have suffered different injuries.
Among the players injured and sidelined for weeks are skimmer Baba Yahaya and left-back Esmat Abdalhamid Hassabalbagi
Due to the injury situation, only three players have started all four games in the league this season, with the coach forced to make changes to his first eleven for all the games.
Despite the injury of multiple first-eleven players, Coach Prosper Narteh Ogum believes his fit players have what it takes to win games.
"Those we have, we just need to manage them towards the next game. For the injured players, there is nothing we can do until they are ready," the coach said after Kotoko's 1-0 win over Nsoatreman FC.
Ahead of the game against Accra Lions, Coach Prosper Narteh Ogum has urged fans to support his team.
"The fans should come in their numbers. We will appeal to them as a club because we need them. We are appreciative of the support, and we are appealing that they should come on Sunday as well," coach Ogum said.
