Asante Kotoko have apologised to local supporters for not giving them the needed win in Sunday’s clash with Algeria’s MC Eulma.

A member of the club’s management George Kennedy in an interview with Joy FM expressed his regret at their early exit from the Caf Champions League, even though they were tipped to progress to the next stage after holding the North Africans to a goalless draw in the first leg.

“We have to apologise to them because they did what Napoleon could not do. We were not even expecting to receive a massive support like that because it’s been a long time we have had this kind of support at the Baba Yara stadium,” Kennedy said on Tuesday.

However, he urged the followers of the Porcupine Warriors not to be reluctant in supporting them so that they could together take the team to greater heights.

“That is not the end of Kotoko. We have to move forward. We are galvanising ourselves and we have to psyche the players and prepare for the next challenge. We do apologise to the entire Kotoko family,” he said.

Kennedy assured they would do everything possible to restore Kotoko’s pride on the continent in the near future.

“I can assure the fans that we will not relent in our quest to make us fearful in Africa again. We just have to work hard and as management we will do everything possible to make that happen.”

Kotoko lost 2-1 to MC Eulma to crash out of the continental competition.
