Kotoko fans crown Edusei Player of the Season

Asante Kotoko defender Kwabena Edusei has been voted the fans’ Player of the Season as a reward for his sterling performances this term in helping the side retain its Premier League crown.

The centre back was presented with a 42 inch flat screen television set and energy drinks by the club’s supporters’ wings on Friday for emerging the best player in the 2013/14 season.

Edusei beat competition from the likes of captain Michael Akuffo, Abeiku Ainooson and goalkeeper Joseph Addo to land the accolade.

The defender was handed his prizes in a surprise presentation during the morning training session on Friday.

Kotoko are currently training for Sunday’s big clash against rivals Hearts of oak despite having already wrapped up the Premier League title for the third successive time.

The Porcupine Warriors are however determined to put a gloss on their championship triumph with a win over their arch rivals before their home fans at the Baba Yara Stadium on Sunday.
