Asante Kotoko midfield player Emmanuel Agyemang Badu has revealed that his outfit is ready to play Al Hilal of Sudan in the Caf Confederation Cup which begins next month.

The only Ghanaian club in Africa inter-club competition 2019, Asante Kotoko have been drawn alongside Al Hilal, Zesco United and Nkana FC in the group C.

Agyeman Badu speaking after their 2-0 win over Storm Academy in their preparation ahead of the Caf confederation at the Baba Yara Stadium said the Porcupine Warriors are ready to face Al Hilal.

"We have prepared very well for the Al Hilal game. I can assure you that we are ever ready for the Confederation Cup", he said.

Asante Kotoko reached the group stage of the Caf Confederation Cup group stage for the first in 11 years. Coach C.K Akunnor and his lads have set sights on qualifying from the group despite the tough opponents they will be facing.

Badu echoed the same sentiment ahead of his maiden appearance in the competition and believes they have what it takes to reach the quarter-finals.

He added "Our target is to be in the quarter-final before then to the semis and to the final game because we (the players) want to leave legacy or make history for Asante Kotoko team like how past footballers did, late Baba Yara, Opoku Afriyie, Malik Jabir and Opoku Nti did, that is our aim".

The Reds will play Sudanese side Al Hilal and Zambia giants Nkana FC, and Zesco United.
