Kotoko likely to lose Ashia

Free agent Kennedy Ashia has revealed his is more inclined to join AshantiGold as they are the only club to show seriousness in signing him.

The powerful midfielder is wanted by both Hearts of Oak and Asante Kotoko.

But AshGold appear to have crept in behind to hijack the deal for themselves.

The Miners want to enforce their squad ahead of their return to the CAF Champions League.

And Ashia feels the Obuasi-based club have shown enough to merit his signatures against the other clubs that have expressed interest.

“Yes, I have held talks with Kotoko. But Ashantigold looks the likely destination,” he said.

“They (Ashantigold) are more serious and interested in me and so we’ll see how it goes.

“I’m a professional and so the club that shows more seriousness will be attracted to me.”
