Asante Kotoko National Circles Chairman, Kwaku Amponsah (Chairman K5) has called on the management of the club and the players to render an apology to the supporters for appointing Kwesi Fabin as the head coach of the club.

The former Black Starlets coach was asked to take over after Steve Pollack failed to qualify the team for the next round of the CAF Confederations Cup.

After the 10 matches played in the ongoing campaign, the Porcupine Warriors are on the 10th position with 14 points.

According to Chairman K5, Paa Kwesi Fabin should be blamed for the team's inconsistent performance but have called on the management and the players to apologize to the supporters of the club.

"The supporters don't receive any monthly salary from the team.

"They are always happy when the team wins but for the team to be losing consistently, it is not good enough for the club.

"The management and the players must apologize to the supporters because they have disappointed the club.

He also questioned the appointment of Paa Kwesi Fabin after the exit of Steve Pollack.

"The management only took the decision to appoint Paa Kwesi Fabin when Pollack was asked to leave but I can confidently tell you that the coach wouldn't have got a single vote from the supporters if we were asked to vote because he has been at the club before and we all know what he did.

"For he to say that he is not a magician to overturn the fortunes of the club, I think he should have been asked to step aside because I believe he was told the problem the club has before he was given the nod.

Chairman K5 also dismissed any suggestion that Asante Kotoko will win the Premier League.

"Before the start of the season, I had high hopes that we will win the Premier League but with what the coach doing now, I don't think we can win the League.

"We have good players but the coach is not using them well and that is the problem," he added.

Asante Kotoko will travel to play Karela United in the matchday 11 fixture of the Ghana Premier League.
