Kumasi, Sept. 9, GNA - The Interim Management Committee of Kumasi Asante Kotoko Football Club has held a crisis meeting to address the Club's poor showing in the on-going GHALCA Top Four Tournament. The 'Porcupine Warriors' lie at the bottom of the Top Four League Table after round one of the competition, having lost all their three matches.

Kumasi King Faisal, arch-rivals Accra Hearts of Oak and Kpando Heart of Lions took turns to inflict painful defeats on Kotoko and this has become a big worry to the die-hard and teeming supporters of the Club. The meeting was attended by the Management, technical handlers and playing body.

Alhaji Ali Maradona, a member of the IMC told GNA Sports after the meeting that the atmosphere was friendly and the discussions were candid and in the interest of the success of the Club. "During the meeting, we gave the technical team and the playing body the chance to speak their minds as to what they taught had accounted for the dwindling fortunes", he said.

Alhaji Maradona said the participants came out of the meeting more united and strengthened in their resolve to put the smiles back on the faces of the supporters. He therefore appealed to the supporters to remain calm and continue to rally solidly behind the team to enable it succeed. Touching on the issue of the Club's contract with Coach Herbert Addo, he said management would come out with a decision by Friday, September 11.
