Kumasi Asante Kotoko midfielder Michael Akuffo is delighted with their progression into the quarter-finals of the MTN FA Cup.
The Porcupine Warriors beat Wassaman 1-0 in the round of 16 to go through to the next stage of the competition.
Captain Amos Frimpong scored the only goal in the 36th minute from the spot after the Porcupine Warriors were awarded a penalty.
Midfielder Michael Akuffo was adjudged Man of The Match after an impressive performance in the middle of the pitch and he didn’t hide his joy after the win.
“It was a difficult game, we played according to instructions and I think the best side won so I am very very happy we won,” he said.
“What I will say about this game is that now every game of Kumasi Asante Kotoko is a big game and any team that is coming is determined so we were also determined,”

Kotoko are looking at winning the trophy they last won in 2014 when they beat Inter Allies in Accra.
