Kotoko midfielder Naby Keita to miss WAFA game

Ghana Premier League giants Asante Kotoko have been dealt a huge blow as Naby Laye Keita is set to miss their game against WAFA on match day eight of the on-going season.

Keita was dropped from the 20-man squad announced by coach Maxwell Konadu following a knee injury he sustained during their 1-1 draw against Liberty Professionals on Sunday at the Baba Yara stadium.

As a result of that, he missed the team's training at the Adako Jachie training complex on Monday ahead of their game in Sogakope.

The 25-year-old is expected to undergo a scan to know the extent of the injury in the coming days and has been joined in the treatment by Mudasiru Salifu and Richard Senanu.

The highly-rated striker has scored one goal in five appearances for Asante Kotoko this term.

Below is the 20-man squad for the WAFA clash:

Goalkeepers: Felix Annan, Kwame Baah

Defenders: Abdul Ismail Ganiu, Patrick Yeboah, Christopher Nettey, Habib Mohammed, Imoro Ibrahim, Emmanuel Agyemang Badu, Augustine Sefah

Midfielders: Kingsley Osei Effah, Justice Blay, Kwame Adom Frimpong, Martin Antwi, Collins Ameyaw, Sam Adams

Forwards: Richard Arthur, William Opoku Mensah, Matthew Kelvin Andoh, Emmanuel Gyamfi, Maxwell Baakoh.
