Ghana Premier League giants Asante Kotoko have been dealt a huge blow as Naby Laye Keita is set to miss their game against WAFA on match day eight of the on-going season.
Keita was dropped from the 20-man squad announced by coach Maxwell Konadu following a knee injury he sustained during their 1-1 draw against Liberty Professionals on Sunday at the Baba Yara stadium.
As a result of that, he missed the team's training at the Adako Jachie training complex on Monday ahead of their game in Sogakope.
The 25-year-old is expected to undergo a scan to know the extent of the injury in the coming days and has been joined in the treatment by Mudasiru Salifu and Richard Senanu.
The highly-rated striker has scored one goal in five appearances for Asante Kotoko this term.
