Team Asante Kotoko
The playing body of Kumasi Asante Kotoko have been rewarded with GH¢ 1,500.00 each after their victory over Hearts of Oak, Sportscrusader.com can confirm.
Earlier this week, Sportscrusader.com reported that the club will cash a GH¢ 50,000.00 cheque given to the team by a staunch fan of the club, Christopher Damenya in a fulfilment of a promise made to the team prior to their Ghana Premier League Match-Day 10 fixture against Hearts of Oak in Accra.
The club cashed the cheque, and gave each player GH¢ 1,500.00 as promised by Mr Damenya.
However, two players, skipper of the team, Amos Frimpong and young striker, Dauda Mohammed are yet to receive their share due to their engagement with Ghana’s national teams, the local Black Stars and Black Satellites respectively.
Last week, the management of the club also gave each player GH¢ 1,000.00 for the win, whilst Nana Gyasi gave the entire team GH¢ 5,000.00 for the victory.
