Asante Kotoko midfielder Emmanuel Antwi believes he and his teammates cost themselves two points against Young Apostles in their Ghana Premier League match week three game.

The former Great Olympics player scored the equalizer for the Porcupine Warriors in a 1-1 draw against the newly promoted side at Obuasi Len Clay Stadium on Sunday. The goal was his first for the club since joining the record Ghanaian champions on a free transfer.

Speaking to the Asante Kotoko media team, Antwi attributed the draw to their inability to convert chances.

"I think we didn't take our chances seriously, and we were supposed to bury them, because you can play 90 minutes and get only one chance in the game,” he said.

“So when it comes to it, you have to utilize it; you have to utilize it. I would say that's what killed us in the first half, because we had a lot of chances we were supposed to put in the back of the net."

Daniel Lomotey opened the scoring for Young Apostles in the 51st minute, giving them the lead against the Porcupine Warriors. Antwi equalized in the 76th minute with a long-range shot that beat the Young Apostles goalkeeper to tie the game.
