Kumasi Asante Kotoko will kickoff the league without combative midfielder Jackson Owusu after he got his left leg broken when he was training with his colleagues early Sunday morning.
The player sustained the injury at the Magazine Maakro Park and had to be carried away in a private vehicle to the Okomfo Anokye Teaching Hospital.
In a video footage, the injury which appears very severe saw the player shedding tears while his colleagues carried him shoulder high into the parked vehicle.
Dubbed 'Sunday Special', many players from various clubs both home and those from abroad on holidays meet to play every Sunday morning.
It is, however, unclear whether Kumasi Asante Kotoko have been given the news as there is no official statement from them yet.
