Medeama-owned Justice Blay has vehemently spoken against the calls for footballers on the domestic scene to mimic their European counterparts who have taken pay cuts in the wake of the novel coronavirus.
Calls for players to take pay cuts due to the inactive period birthed by the global pandemic is fast gaining grounds which has divided opinions.
Adding his voice to the growing discussion, Justice Blay argued players on the domestic scene earn too little to receive pat cuts.
“Which player in Ghana will accept this, how much do we earn for them to slash it. Some players even earn as low as GHC150” Blay told Kumasi FM.
“How much will these players earn after this pay cut?” he ended.
Football in the country has been put on hold due to the outbreak of the highly-contagious coronavirus.
