Asante Kotoko say attacker Ollenu Ashittey is ruled out of this weekend’s league game with an injury in his right thigh.
The former Hearts of Oak player has steadily warmed himself into the Porcupines set-up, commanding starting roles in recent games.
Ollenu’s game time progress now stalls for at least one week as prognosis by the Kotoko medical team indicate he has suffered a little muscular problem during training on Wednesday.
“Ollenu has been ruled out of Sunday’s game,” Head of Communications, Obed Acheampong told the club’s website.
“He complained about it yesterday. He had a scan today and it was found that he needed to allow the muscle to rest for a week.”
Ollenu Ashitey is effectively ruled out of Sunday’s 2016/17 GHPL match-day five home clash with new boys Elmina Sharks.
