Kotoko sack seven top stars including striker Saddick Adams

Reports on Kumasi claim Asante Kotoko have severed ties with seven players, including striker Saddick Adams.

The rest are Eric Donkor, Seth Opare, Yakubu Mohammed, Edwin Tuffour Frimpong, Baba Mahama and Frank Sarfo Gyamfi.

It is reported that head coach Paa Kwesi Fabin wants to free up space in his team to make way for new signing this second transfer window.

Kotoko have been inconsistent this season with five defeats, two draws and five wins.

The Porcupine Warriors crashed out of this year's CAF Confederation Cup a the preliminary stages to CARA Cub of Congo and have suffered defeats to Hearts of Oak and Karela United in this season's Ghana Premier League campaign.

With the second transfer window opened, Kotoko are hopeful they can sign a few decent players who will help them compete for the league title this year.
