Asante Kotoko Operations Manager George Kenedy has noted that a technical advisor could be appointed in the coming days to help interim coach Michael Osei.
Osei, who was made the interim coach when coach David Duncan was asked to step aside, has come under intense criticism following the club’s recent slump in the Ghana Premier League.
After their match-day 19 game with Bechem United, which ended in a draw, Bechem United coach Manuel Zacharias claimed Michael Osei was tactically inept and not capable of handling a 5th division team in his native Portugal.
Since then fans of the team have been asking questions about Osei’s ability to do the work following their 4-1 defeat to Ebusua Dwarfs on match-day 2-0.
George Kenedy, also concerned with the current trend of the team revealed after their Super Clash game with Hearts at the Baba Yara Stadium on Sunday that they are thinking of bringing in a technical advisor.
“We will discuss that one during our technical meeting on Monday if we have to bring in a technical director to help him we will do that,” he said
“We asked Osei to act because we didn’t want to incur any cost when we asked Duncan, the substantive coach to step aside but for now I think we have to help him with a technical director till the end of the season and then decide on what to do next.”
