Kumasi Asante Kotoko striker, Dauda Mohammed, is on his way to joining top Belgian side, RSC Anderlecht, in a transfer deal which could fetch the Ghanaian side about $450,000.
A source close to Kotoko told the Graphic Sports that Kotoko and Anderlecht officials had already concluded the deal, paving the way for the player to begin a professional career in the Belgium top flight league.
The Black Satellites striker was one of the bright spots in the last Ghana Premier League as he ended an impressive season with eight goals to his credit.
The 19-year-old striker recently earned a Black Stars call-up, raising his profile even further and enhancing his chances of joining Black Stars attacker Frank Acheampong in the same club.
In an interview with the Graphic Sports yesterday, the head coach of Kotoko, Michael Osei, said all he knew was that Dauda would not be part of his team for the next season because he was on his way out of the country.
He also revealed that the club would also miss the services of the reliable midfielder, Stephen Nyarko, who is also on his way to the Gulf region.
He said the club had embarked on a search for two potent strikers and a holding midfielder to fill the void created by the two players.
The former title holders finished a disappointing fifth in the 2015/2016 season without an African slot and are bent on bouncing back with a bang next season to appease their fans.
